In Loving Memory
Carole Elizabeth Holmes-DiMatteo, 81, passed away on August 9, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital, San Jose, California, from heart related complications. She is survived by her beloved husband, John, and loving family: Gail (Steve) Cain, Linda (Emil) Wicki, Pat (Bob) Cain, Marilyn (Loyd) Blair, Richard (Connie) Avignon, Joyce (Steve) Hamilton, and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at California Coast Veteran's Cemetery, 2900 Parker Flats Cut Off, Seaside, California on Friday, August 17 at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements are by Sacred Space Memorial in San Jose.
Carole was born in San Leandro on May 21, 1937. She graduated from Cal Berkeley and holds a Masters Degree from George Washington University. Carole has had a very diversified and successful career, which included elementary school teaching, public relations for several corporations both in Houston, Texas and California, and real estate in California. Carole was also past President of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Carole was an accomplished artist, working primarily in oils, creating both original art and reproductions of the Old Masters. A gifted pianist and organist, she was a member of St. Mary's choir in Los Gatos. Living life to the fullest, she enjoyed travel, classical and jazz music. A warm and generous person, her greatest joy was the love she shared with her family and friends.
Carole is preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Gene Coolidge and her brother Robert Coolidge.
