Dale Wayne Severson passed away in his home surrounded by his family, on January 27, 2019. Dale, a longtime resident of San Jose, was born and raised in Minneapolis Minnesota. Dale was the first born child of Roy and Virginia Severson. He grew up helping care for his two younger brothers, Dean and Darrel. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and then joined the United States Marine Corps where he was stationed in Korea. After serving his country, Dale came home and married his childhood friend, Jacquelyn Seymour, whom he had known since birth. They had five children together and relocated to the sunny San Jose bay area to work for Control Data as a draftsman designer. He then went into business as a builder and developed a love for property and real estate. He enjoyed breeding his boxers, hunting for the next piece of property to invest in, watching the warriors, Sharks and 49ers, and wearing his cowboy hat and snake skin boots. Dale was a smart, honorable and stubborn man, who always made sure to provide for his family. Dale and Jacquelyn were married for 61 years. Dale is survived by his wife Jacquelyn, 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dale’s family and friends will miss him dearly.
