Obituary On Thursday, January 30, 2020, Manjusha Handa, loving wife and mother of two daughters, passed away at the age of 46. Manjusha was born on May 4, 1973 in the holy town of Haridwar, India. She received her Computer Science and Engineering degree with First Class with Honors in 1996, and worked as a software engineer for over 20 years. She worked in software engineering positions in Oracle Corporation (Redwood Shores), Central California Alliance for Health (Scotts Valley) and Aon Hewitt (San Jose). On July 1, 1998, she married Neerav Handa. They raised two daughters, Shikha and Shreya in the San Francisco Bay Area. Manjusha was an accomplished painter and was known to make intricate paintings. Her paintings are displayed in her home and homes of family members. She applied her artistic skills in making themed fondant cakes for children’s birthday celebrations. She wrote beautiful poems which were published in the Indian American poetry newsletter. Her paintings, cakes and poems always received accolade from family and friends. She maintained her blog at Casual Thinking. Manjusha was diagnosed with late stage breast cancer in October 2018 but did not give up fighting the disease until the very end. She had such a dedicated and fighting spirit that she kept working in her job until early December 2019. Manjusha was a dedicated mother always guiding the daughters to be their best in life. She was her husband’s best friend and a pillar for him.
