Miliam Z Novoa Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Obituary It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Miliam Novoa, who gained her angel wings at 12.45 p.m. on 8/31/2021. She was a loving mother, humble, and generous. We will deeply miss her, but we know there is a party in heaven in her name. She was one of eleven siblings and the last one to depart in peace. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Miguel Alberto Novoa, and her three children, Carlos Alberto, Carla Cecilia, and Carlos Alfredo. Miguel and Miliam met through one of her sister’s friends in Lima, Peru, and they married on December 8, 1960. Miliam was a registered nurse and a Catholic minister. She had many passions. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, seeing the world, playing bingo, and loved playing cards. She was a very dedicated mother, found often driving her children to many activities and spent the time waiting for them in her car crocheting and knitting. Later in life, her mission became to serve God and the less fortunate by spending many hours in church and helping others. Due to the pandemic, we will only be holding a private funeral for our immediate family on September 3 at 1 pm. However, we will be sending a link to attend a Spanish Catholic mass via Zoom. This virtual mass will take place on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 6 p.m. PST (California). At the beginning of October 2021 which will mark a month after her departure we will be hosting a celebration of her life for not only family but all those who would like to pay their respects.
