Andrew Young Le graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Computer Science. He met the love of his life Catherine Vân Hàn while he was employed at IBM in the Spring of 1991. For six months, Andrew would sit in the halls of the business building of San Jose State University, waiting for a chance to court her. Soon after that, the romance ensued, and they tied the knot in September of 1995. One year after their wedding, the couple welcomed Derick Duy Lê, their first born, who has been a joy in their lives and has brought them so much happiness. Derick is now 23 years old. Ten years after their first born, the couple welcomed a beautiful girl, a perfect addition to the family. Caitrin CátDuyên Lê is now 13 years old, daddy’s little princess. She has brought so much happiness and love to the family every day. His children and family remember him as a kind, goofy, and loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and always live life to the fullest. From the beginning, he taught his children to live a simple life, play sports, sleep a lot, and enjoy good food.
After moving to Fremont from San Jose in 2007, Andrew exited his high tech field and founded his own business as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser. Andrew was a passionate person, who loved collecting classic cars, watching MMA games, and especially playing tennis. He would play tennis tirelessly and consistently, day after day.
Everyone who has known Andrew remembers him as a simple family man, free-spirited, and a funny person full of wit. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
