Donna Lynne Baxter McCallum was born  Indianapolis, Indiana on April 15th, 1954 to Donald Stuart Baxter and Verna Dean Baker Baxter - She was the eldest of three children from that union.

Donna attended Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana, Middle School in Oakland, California, where her family had moved. She graduated from Battin high School, an All Girls School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She attended and graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with Honors. After graduating, Donna joined Vista Corp. as a volunteer. After serving, she joined her family back in California, becoming a Special Education teacher and Behavior Specialist in the Alum Rock School District for over 30 years before retiring. 

Donna was a loving Mother, Grandmother (Nana), Mother-in-Law, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Mentor. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Stuart Baxter. Donna loved her family dearly, which includes, her mother, Verna Dean Baker Baxter, her children, Jason Louis McCallum, Jeremy Stuart McCallum and his wife Laura Cano-McCallum, Jordan William McCallum, her sister, Vicki Linel Murphy, her brother, Stuart Calvin Baxter and his wife Anita Event Baxter, grandchildren, Mario Lorenzo Cano, Anthony Elijah Cano, Mia Cali Cano-McCallum, Aria Lola Lyndae Cano-McCallum, Jacen Prince McCallum, Amara Charley Rose McCallum, niece, Alexandria Baxter, Erica Jones, nephews, Ralph Eric Jones, Daniel Stuart Baxter, a host of cousins, aunts and uncles, special extended family, Melissa Desoto, Katherine Cruz, her two sons, Kharyl and Khaleb, Teresa Langley, chosen sister, Athenia Kelley, and chosen niece Naliah Kelley.
