Gregory Michael Gutierrez, Lance Corporal
November 5, 1980 - June 12, 2021
It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Gregory Gutierrez. He leaves behind his soulmate, Marisela Campos and their loving children, Christian (21) and Laila (7), along with their puppy, Sofie. He was a devoted father and provider for his family. Gregory was also a dedicated son to his parents, Tim and Gloria Gutierrez. He was the oldest of three, to brothers Timmy and Andrew. He was an amazing Uncle to his nieces and nephews, Maverick, Salvador, Emanuel, Ayden, Alessandra, and Izabella. Greg was a wonderful and supportive brother-in-law to Nicole, Becca, Raul, Celina, Alex, Onawa, and son-in-law to Raul Campos, Sr.
Greg faithfully served in the US Marine Corp & Army National Guard. Earned and deserved decorations, medals, and ribbons awarded were: Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism, Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal & Presidential Unit Citation-Navy. His rewarding career included various jobs in the automotive industry, with the most recent at Tesla, as an Engineering Tech, and as a Supply Chain Analyst for YF.
Greg's passion was always, first and foremost, his family and friends. His top priority was his children that he shared with the love of his life, as a supportive and encouraging father. He also made time to be the head coach of his daughter's softball team, The Bad News Butterflies. He was always down to go to Disneyland for his princess, Laila. His love was so deep for his children and lucky to have met his life partner, Marisela. They had a love for each other like no other, always laughing together and cracking jokes. They were the strongest team when it came to raising their children and were just getting started on their long life together.
Greg had a larger than life personality and a true genuine heart for everyone he met. He was always the life of the party and always down to BBQ a big meal for his friends and family. He has touched so many lives and made such a huge impact, leaving a legacy of love. He will be forever missed. Our lives will never be the same without him, but he will live in our hearts forever.
