Julian Mireles, left us on 10/28/19, in Modesto, CA. Julian is survived by his wife of 84 years, Josefina, and his nine children, eighteen grand children, and fourteen great grand children.
Julian, was born on June 17, 1930, in Rocky Ford, Colorado, U.S.A. to Felipe, and Silvina Mireles. Work was scarce at the time, due to the depression, his father and mother decided to move back to Mexico, where Julian, was raised. He worked hard with his family on the farm, and when he was old enough him and his father returned to the U.S.A. to work on the railroads, and later continued on his own to work in the cannerys, and fields.
He met married Josefina, in 1951. In 1971, after years of marriage, brought his wife to the U.S.A. and both settled in Sunnyvale, CA. where they both worked and little by little began to bring the rest of the children, and watched them grow there.
Julian, was a farmer at heart, had the greenest thumb, and could make any soil fertile, and his green and well groomed yard would show that his plants were more than just a hobby, but a true passion. He loved his town of CD. Manuel Doblado, GTO. Mexico and tried to visit as much as possible. Never forgetting where he grew up, and making sure his children didn't either.
His children will remember him, as a hard working, caring, humorous, and generous father, man of a few words, king of the one liners, that definitely encouraged them to work as hard as he did.
