Kuan Chien Pei 關金培, 88 years old, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on December 4, 2021.
Aside from being Survived by his Wife Kuan Thay-Jiin 關蔡謹his Daughter Jessie Wei 關玉貞 Son Rong Kuan 關榮祥 and his Grandchildren, Joy Wei, Calvin Wei, Kayden Kuan, Allyson Kuan, he leaves behind a Daughter, Kuan Yuh-Lin 關玉玪
Born on May 29, 1933 in China, Henan Province, he lived in Taipei, Taiwan and Hiroshima and Osaka, Japan. He picked up his culinary skills and eventually opened up his own restaurant, the Dragon Garden 龍園, when he moved to San Jose, CA with his family, where he was famous for his dumplings and fresh hand-shaved noodles. He became a member of Chong Hwa Saint Tao Yuan of Mountain View since 1995. In his later years he dedicated his life to his Family and Temple, CHSTY.
