Obituary – Travis Ryan Devine

On Saturday, February 20th 2021, Travis Ryan Devine passed away unexpectedly at the age of 36. Travis was born on September 15th 1984 to Dr. Christopher J. and Connie C. (Grant) Devine in San Jose, CA. He graduated from Oak Grove High School and attended West Valley College. Travis enjoyed Oakland A’s Baseball, Saber Cats Arena Football, Sharks Hockey, drawing, scuba diving, and occasional runs down the slopes of the Sierra’s on his snow board, but his passion in life was always music. He was a founding member of the band “Fallnup” (San Jose) and spent the early part of his career recording at Sound City (Los Angeles) under the tutelage of his producer, Jace Smith, the founder of Shelter Studios. Eventually Fallnup was signed by Jet Speed Records (Los Angeles).  After recording multiple CDs with Fallnup, he co-founded the band “Attack on Hoth” and was a member of this foursome until his untimely passing. Travis is survived by: parents – Christopher and Connie; siblings – brother, Kelly J. Grant; Sister, Erin C. (Devine) Arreola; brother-in-law, Gilberto Arreola; favorite nephews, Elijah and Gilbert Arreola; his oldest and dearest childhood friend Corey Cassarino; and too many aunts, uncles, and cousins to list. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Injured and Orphaned Wildlife (Campbell, CA) a cause near and dear to his heart. Services will be private; however, a celebration of the wonderful life of Travis will be planned for the spring.
