San Jose, Spanish for the Saint Joseph city, is San Jose's official city,is Silicon's hub of trade, culture and politics and the largest city in Northern California. Alum Rock Park is the oldest park in the entire city, which was established in 1872.  In its ParkScore rating for 2013, San Jose is rated the same as  Albuquerque and Omaha for the 11th best park system amongst the 50 most populous cities in the U.S. and the Trust for Public Land, regional land preservation organizations.
