Manolo Brigoli Casas

Manolo Brigoli Casas Born in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines. Feb. 1, 1940–January 9, 2024. Manolo (Manny) was the eldest of six siblings. He departed peacefully from this life, surrounded by loved ones in his San Jose home, at the age of 83. Manny spent most of his working years proudly serving his country and community. Through enlistment in the U.S. Navy in Cavite, Philippines, he made his way to the nation's capital and lived there for two years. Journeying from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Kodiak, Alaska, then to Taiwan, where he ranked up and was lastly promoted to Chief Petty Officer. Throughout Manny's 21 years of service, he received numerous recognitions and awards and obtained an Associates of Science degree in Food Service Management and Hotel Operations from the University of Hawaii. While residing in Hawaii, Manny met his beautiful wife, Angelita, at a Filipino community dance party. Their passion for ballroom dancing brought them together. A serendipitous moment that changed both their lives forevermore. Manny and Angelita moved to California together, where Manny worked as a supervisor in the Food Services Probation Department. A hardworking family man, he dedicated 15 years to the Santa Clara County, retiring in 2002. Manny enjoyed the simple things in life. Drinking a hot cup of coffee in the morning, spending time with his lovely wife, listening to his extensive music collection, and baking goods for his family brought him immense joy. We will remember him for his kind spirit, generosity, and compassion. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who love him dearly. “Though his smile is gone forever and his hand I cannot touch, I still have many memories of the one I loved so much. His memory is now my keepsake, which I'll never part, God has him in his keeping, and I have him in my heart. Sadly missed, but never forgotten.” Manny is survived by his devoted wife Angelita, two daughters Danielle and Danette, and stepchildren Lito, Dina, Reesi, Domingo, Gaily, and Allan. He has ten grandchildren: Angela, Adrian, Danny, Brian, Monica, Tristan, Finna Mey, Ashley, Isaiah, and Isaac, and two great-grandchildren, Ayla Jenevieve and Aria Grace.
