Obituary Leslie Anne Douglass, After a 20-year battle with Pancreatitis has gone to be in Heaven, in the arms of Jesus, joining her mother and father and others whom have gone before her. She passed peacefully on May 4, 2018. Leslie is survived by her husband Larry; her sons, Scotty and Mark; daughters, Kathy and Tammy; her grandsons, Jacob, Joshua, and Jack; and her granddaughters, Alicia and Karina. Leslie and Larry were married for 51 years and have a long history in Monterey County. Leslie lived in Santa Cruz County and in the Santa Cruz mountains for 37 years and grew up, the middle sister of three, (her older sister, Linda and younger brother, John). Their great grandfather owned a gold mine in Big Sur, worked the Hearst Ranch, and was a Texas Ranger. Leslie was the daughter to Adrian and Betty Harbolt of Prunedale who precedes her. Leslie, while in tremendous pain all of the time, still had time for others. You would never know she was suffering as she made people feel very special and they had her complete attention. Leslie loved our Lord Jesus and was devoted to a lifetime of selfless service to others. A regular attendee at the Twin Lakes Church in Aptos, CA, Leslie had a passion for leading others to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior, through example, and the Word of God. One of Leslie's ministries was as a volunteer at the Aegis Care Facility, conducting weekly Bible Studies with her husband Larry. Leslie enjoyed time with her friends at the Women’s Bible Study groups at church. Although she had little, she would give generously to others. Some of the things Leslie loved; time with friends, bible study, and working in the garden with her hands, growing beautiful flowers and plants. She adored her Dachshund dogs, all throughout her life. Her latest companion puppy is named Willy. Leslie loved the occasional escape to Disneyland with her sister, or daughters, and Gilroy Gardens with her grandson. She loved to have fun and to live life through hard work and being a living example of Christ to others and as a devoted wife to her husband, Larry.
