In Loving Memory of Stacey Houghton September 11, 1979 – October 5, 2025 Stacey, 46, left this world on October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Stacey was the cherished daughter of Frank and Joyce Houghton. At the age of 4, she moved to California and quickly became the quintessential California girl, bright and full of life. Her childhood was spent in Campbell, graduating from Prospect High School, before earning her B.A. in Computer and Video Imaging from Cogswell Polytechnical College and later her M.F.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology. Always pursuing excellence, her professional journey led to pursue a career in UX/UI Design, sharing her talents with Apple, and inspiring students through teaching at De Anza College, Mission College, and West Valley College. Her artistic spirit started Valley Painting Parties, where she recently celebrated 11 years of business. Stacey shared her passion for art with countless people in her community. A loving wife to Martin, Stacey was a pillar of unwavering strength, support, and imagination for her family. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, raising three children: Aidan [18], Adam [11], and Adeline [8]. She modeled for her children what it means to care unconditionally and give graciously. She was a source of comfort, teaching compassion and always bringing a joyful spirit to the most festive celebrations. Stacey’s parties will always be remembered for her hospitality, creativity, and most importantly, her presence made ordinary moments unforgettable. Stacey found joy bringing people together. Full of adventure, Stacey had a passion for art, travel, and leisure. Each family trip was planned with intention, ensuring memorable moments would be cemented. She brought her family across the country and globally to Africa, Europe, and Central America. When Stacey’s vacation was ending, she was already planning her next trip. She is survived by her parents, Frank & Joyce Houghton, Father-in-Law, Janusz Pabian, loving husband, Martin Pabian, their children, Aidan, Adam, & Adeline. She is also survived by her half-sisters, Sharon, Debbi, Lisa, & Barbara, and Brother-in-Law, Patrick Pabian, as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. Lastly, she leaves behind her dogs, Charlotte, Lady, and Maybell, and her cats, Cat-Buddy and Sally; companions who always brought her joy and comfort. A Funeral Service to celebrate Stacey’s life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at St. Christopher Church, located at 2278 Booksin Ave, San Jose, CA 95125 at 4pm. Friends and family are invited to gather in reflection of our amazing Stacey. She wished to celebrate her life instead of mourning her loss, and preferred no one wear black. Our family will honor her spirit with a Hawaiian theme to celebrate her love for the islands. A reception will follow immediately after the conclusion of mass at the Church of the Transfiguration, located at 4325 Jarvis Ave, San Jose, CA 95118. Please expect the Celebration of life to begin around 5:30pm. Our family encourages anyone who has been impacted by Stacey to attend whichever event they can attend. Rest in peace, dear Daughter, Wife, and Mother. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
